Helping the homeless in Italy ($0/day)

Avvocato di Strada ( literally ‘street lawyer’) is a non-profit volunteering organisation, established in Bologna in 2007 with the aim of defending homeless people’s rights. The association provides free and qualified legal assistance to homeless people and victims of trafficking who are deprived of their fundamental rights and who are not granted a fair and effective access to justice. Our objective is to grant each person equal access to fundamental rights. More than 700 volunteer lawyers currently participate in the activities of the association, offering professional services on a rotating basis and providing expertise in areas such as family, minor, migrant, criminal, and labor law. In addition to legal assistance, ADS organizes and promotes advocacy activities, campaigns, and training aimed at raising awareness about homelessness.
