Our South African non-profit organization is focussed on the empowerment of youth through education, e-literacy training and career guidance.
We work to enable disadvantaged youth to pull themselves and each other out of poverty and into tertiary education and/or employment.
Volunteers make a meaningful contribution to a learner’s education, by getting involved in our programmes: Tutoring, Mentoring, Career Guidance, E-Literacy, HIV Programme, Media, Image and Expression.
We need volunteers to do everything. Being such a helper is an incredibly rewarding and fun experience, but it also requires hard work and commitment (it’s the same deal for our learners).
However, the ways in which you channel your contributions are flexible, and while the greatest difference is no doubt made by the highly committed tutors that volunteer 1 – 3 times a week, there is space for those who do not have a huge amount of time to give.
